In defence of tie dye

 What do you imagine when you hear the words "tie dye"? A patchouli-smelling hippie wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with peace signs, sandals made from muesli and a bag crafted out of hemp? You're not alone: tie dye was voted the worst fashion disaster of the last 50 years in a survey last week.
