At first, all was quiet. The show was late. Then from one corner (there were four doors onto this catwalk) marched two girls with red-sprayed eyes in white furry balaclavas and undulatingly-peplumed white dresses with front-skirts of black stringy strands. Considering the five-inch heels they'd gone out in, their determined march was pretty speedy (keen-to-get-home-speedy), but then they looped around and back up and down the catwalk again, as if confused which platform they were after.
Solo, in pairs, or in larger groups they kept on coming, all from different doors and all wheeling around as if they were not entirely sure where they were heading - but were determined not to show it.
