LILY COLE
There's not much Cambridge University graduate Lily Cole can't do. After growing tired with back-to-back fashion shows, she braved the stage in her university's production of 'The Seagull' (pictured) and then went on to secure a film role in 'The Imagination of Doctor Parnassus'.
LIYA KEBEDE
In what was perhaps an effort to counteract all that posing for cosmetics giant Estée Lauder, top model Liya Kebede put the serious pouting on the back burner and made a film for children, 'Sur La Piste Du Marsupilami' (On The Trail of Marsupilami) in which she took the role of the beautiful Queen Paya.
MILLA JOVOVICH
Milla started her modelling career aged nine, so it's no surprise she opted for an eventual career change. Her now extensive filmography features a heavy dose of Resident Evil films, but also a few historic genres - such as 'The Three Musketeers' (pictured).
NATALIA VODIANOVA
Get ready to see Russian model Natalia Vodianova looking au naturel as she plays opposite Irish eye-candy Jonathan Rhys Meyers in 'Belle du Seigneur'.
ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELEY
Devon-born beauty Rosie carved her name modelling for Victoria's Secret, Burberry and most recently, Marks & Spencer. A move to Los Angeles has fed her appetite for Hollywood however, and in 2011 she made her big-screen debut in 'Transformers: Dark of the Moon'. Next up we can see her in 'Mad Max: Fury Road'.
SASHA PIVOVAROVA
Top Russian model Sasha Pivovarova played Vincent Kartheiser's mother-in-law (aka Peter Campbell from Mad Men) in sci-fi thriller 'In Time', which also co-starred Justin Timberlake.
TWIGGY
London model Twiggy's modelling career was initially short-lived but stratospheric, so fans were glad to see her once more in the 1971 comedy The Boy Friend.
