Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's rise to fashion fame

As Rosie Huntington-Whiteley launches her design debut for M&S, view the British model's metamorphosis from Devon beauty to global supermodel turned actress and designer.

And who's this? None other than Rosie's new man Jason Statham. The beautiful pair were pictured in all the coolest Los Angeles hang-outs as their relationship blossomed in early 2010.

In the summer of 2007, a very besotted-looking Tyrone Wood (son of Rolling Stones rocker Ronnie) arrived at a gallery preview in London toting a lithe, glowing piece of arm candy. The babe in question? A little-known Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, from Devon.

No... they didn't get married, but they did put on a sickeningly united front at the 2008 wedding of Tyrone's big sister Leah. Huntington-Whiteley almost upstaged the bride in this peach-hued ensemble.

A few stylish invites started landing in Rosie's letterbox. She lit up proceedings at a Louis Vuitton dinner in London.

She quickly honed a real skill for showing the fashion world just what she was made of - involving revealing but tasteful dresses, such as this draped Gucci design

At the summer event of the year - The Serpentine Gallery Summer Party in 2009, and showing a knack for mixing vintage (the dress) with high street (Topshop jacket).

And then bam! A contract to be a Victoria's Secret 'Angel' promptly followed catapulting the Devon-born beauty to global

Further lingerie-clad assignments followed, such as a job the 'face' (and body, of course) of high street retailer Monsoon's first underwear line.

Looking as glamorous as ever in a Christian Dior gown to attend the Elle Style Awards.

Arguably the sexiest model of the year, Victoria's Secret model Rosie started 2011 as Maxim's 'Hottest Woman of the Year'. Cover appearances on Vogue, GQ and Harper's Bazaar sat nicely along the Devon-born model's new Burberry Body perfume campaign. A role as the face of Marks & Spencer's Autograph range also proved to be a patriotic move for the LA-based 24-year-old.

The new girl with a bright future ahead of her: A-Level student Lara had an amazing first season and walked exclusively for Prada in Milan - only four weeks after being first scouted.

Daga Ziober
Polish-born Daga was the most in demand model during the spring/summer 2012 shows, racking up 67 appearances.

Another in-demand catwalk show girl, Chinese model Fei Fei Sun has continued to be a presence in the modelling world with covers for i-D, Vogue China and Elle China and a role in the Louis Vuitton autumn/winter 2011 campaign.

Andre Pejic
Male model Andrej Pejic's androgynous look (right) has taken the fashion world by storm. He closed the Jean Paul Gaultier couture show as the bride, and also featured in the designer's spring campaign. When meeting the Queen in October, Pejic decided to be completely himself and wore a skirt.

Kate King
The Canadian model walked in 60 shows during the spring/summer 2012 season, and was cast in the Dolce & Gabbana campaign.

Lara Mullen

Victoria’s Secret to open in London in 2012

Agyness Deyn, 28, has been cast in the remake of 1996 cult classic, "Pusher". The Ramsbottom native has modelled for Armani, Burberry and Mulberry, and was awarded Model of the Year at the British Fashion Awards in 2007. Her latest role follows on from a cameo in last year's Hollywood remake of "Clash of the Titans".

Gisele was hot property for the best part of the late Nineties and early Noughties with campaigns and covers for just about every major designer and publication going. Comforting to know, then, that the Brazilian bombshell, well, bombed spectacularly in her first big screen outing. "Taxi" focused on a cab driver and a cop intent on solving a string of bank robberies committed by female Brazilian bank robbers, one of whom was played by Gisele. "It would take a tankerload of laughing gas to pump some humour into this flat-tyred fiasco", was how one critic described the film. Best stick to the day job...

The model with the glacial blue eyes, Milla Jovovich was born in 1975, in Ukraine, to a Serbian pediatrician and a renowned Russian actress, Galina Jovovich. Acting was always in her blood, then; despite a successful career modelling for the likes of Christian Dior and Versace, she took up acting. She starred in the "Resident Evil" films, "Joan of Arc" and "Zoolander", although she is perhaps best known for the sci-fi thriller, "The Fifth Element". She currently has no less than three films in post-production, including "The Three Musketeers" opposite Orlando Bloom and Christoph Waltz, and four in pre-production.

Elvis's granddaughter, Riley Keough, was only 14 when she made her modelling debut with no lesser designers than Dolce & Gabbana. A year later, she featured on the cover of "Vogue" with her mother, Lisa Marie Presley, and her grandmother, Priscilla Presley. Last year, the 21-year-old appeared in her first film, "The Runaways", based on the life of Joan Jett, with Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart. She'll be seen in "The Good Doctor" opposite Orlando Bloom this year, and has just wrapped two more films. Watch this face.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has modelled for Burberry and Victoria's secret, and has featured in the infamous Pirelli Calendar, in various states of undress. The statuesque lovely, 23, who is seeing movie hard-man Jason Statham, was the surprise choice for the "Transformers" franchise, after the departure of its former lead actress, Megan Fox. It's the MTA's(model-turned-actress) first film role and she is currently filming in Chicago.
