Resort 2012 collections 1

Erdem
Canadian-born designer, Erdem Moralioglu's Resort 2012 collection features an assortment of his trademark floral prints, which have driven his covetable label into the spotlight since it launched in 2005.

Michael Kors's Resort 2012 collection is a homage to the Aussie-chic Bondi beach babe. Wetsuit-inpired, neon bright fabrics are outlined with sporty black piping with a body-con silhouette.

The collection is in 'sportif' mode, with trousers tailored but slightly loose worn with printed long-sleeved T-shirts and elastic-strapped sandals fit for the beach.

Thakoon's Resort 2012 collection was a mix of hemlines, prints and shapes. Fitted dresses were in light crisp cottons panelled colour and with cut-out details.

A favourite of the Hollywood set after his spectacular rise to fame on the recommendation of Anna Wintour, Thakoon now dresses the likes of Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jessica Biel and Charlise Theron on a regular basis.

Yves Saint Laurent
It was all aboard for Stefano Pilati's Resort 2012 collection for Yves Saint Laurent, as he produced a naval-inspired collection of anchor-prints and sailing stripes in a red, white, blue and yellow palette.

Off-the-shoulder, puff-sleeved tops were tucked into high-waisted tailored shorts in the flirty and fun yachting-inspired collection. Cinched in at the waist with thin belts and finished with colour-block pumps, the line exhibited a perfect city-to-holiday look.

Red leather made a few appearances throughout; a particular favourite being the pleated kilt with a white shirt-sleeved shirt, topped off with anchor-shaped necklaces and sleek tied-back hair.

Jason Wu
Jason Wu's resort 2012 collection is a total texture mixture, with tweed and lace lying alongside athletic stretch fabrics and wetsuit-like piping, creating a sporty but feminine silhouette.

The New York-based Taiwanese-American designer has cemented himself a position amongst the cream of US fashion's finest, with his 'Park Avenue chic' designs becoming favourites of Diane Kruger, Reese Witherspoon, and US Vogue editor, Anna Wintour.
