In three days, the Duchess's sartorial choices have proved not only stylish, but also patriotic, diplomatic, witty and thrifty. Many more experienced women would give anything to hit just one of those notes.
Her natural style setting is demure elegance but that does not mean boring. On Thursday, in a navy blue Roland Mouret dress, a jacket from Canadian designer Smythe, an 'it-bag' and court shoes, she looked for every inch the international diplomat.
